Type B cartridges are often chosen where a clearer dot and a more direct energy transfer are needed, with the possibility to adjust the effect by the orientation of the cartridge.

Design characteristics:

Type B cartridge has a slanted, wider tip and decentralized needle placement. The end of the cartridge's outer casing is asymmetrical—one side is higher, the other lower—resulting from the "slanted tip" geometry.
In this design:

• the tip is wider and slanted,
• the needle is decentralized,
• the decentralization is located in the metal component,
• the needle has a shorter elastic section, making it feel stiffer than in Type A and ME,
• a membrane with universal (soft) characteristics is used,
• the needle sharpening is Long Taper.

Needle working character:

In the Type B cartridge, the energy from the device is transferred more directly than in Type A and ME cartridges. This results from the shorter elastic section of the needle and the metal decentralization point, which limits energy dispersion at the beginning of movement.
At the same time, thanks to the slanted tip, the way it works is not entirely fixed. Guiding the needle closer to the lower side of the tip gives a subtler effect, while guiding closer to the higher side provides a clearer, more directly perceptible dot.
