Pigment from the 'Ombre Brows' series created in collaboration with Perma Blend x Paulina Osinkowska
PIGMENT 03
Ideal for clients with dark blonde or light brown hair.
Pigment 03 is a versatile color that provides a neutral healing result after the procedure. It is not recommended for clients with naturally light brows, especially those who suit Pigment 01 or 02, as it may result in a cooler, even grayish, tone after healing.
Application tips: When working with thin skin, caution is advised – too many layers or over-saturation may cause the pigment to heal cooler than expected. Pigment 03 is perfect for darkening Pigments 01 or 02, and if you want to darken it further, you can use Pigment 04 or 05. If you need to warm the base, add orange pigment.
Pigment is one of the most important tools in a PMU artist’s kit. As artists, we may have the best products, but if we don’t fully understand how to work with pigment, adapt techniques to specific colors or skin types, or properly use equipment, we risk making intuitive decisions that may lead to unsatisfactory results for both you and your client. The Ombre Brows collection is divided into light, medium, and dark shades, numbered 01–06, to simplify color selection. Each shade has been modified and balanced to heal into beautiful brown tones when used correctly. However, in some cases, corrective pigments such as yellow or orange, and diluents that lighten the color and make it more transparent, will be necessary.

Our goal was to create a collection that sits between the classic Perma Blend line and the inorganic pigments available on the market. The pigment formula is hybrid, containing Carbon Black as the black colorant, organic pigments such as three different types of reds, yellows, and oranges, and inorganic white. Each colorant and carrier component has a specific role in the mixture. We have modified the formula multiple times to achieve the desired effects, focusing primarily on the dispersion charge and carrier package components.
Choosing the correct pigment shade is crucial, as a color that is too dark may lead to undesirable results after healing. Choose the shade that best matches the client’s complexion. When in doubt, opt for a lighter shade, which you can always darken later. The correct color choice is the foundation of the final pigmentation effect. Although the formulas of the Ombre Brows pigments were created to allow techniques similar to working with inorganic pigments, they should not be directly compared. Differences in their composition, chemical properties, and physical characteristics lead to different visual effects immediately after application.
